How can I make the toolbar and/or Study Panel tab bar smaller to make more room for text?

Use the ⌘ Minus (hyphen) on the Mac or ⌃ Minus in Windows to "zoom out" and make everything in the app smaller until you get the toolbar / tab bar as small as you want it to be. Then use Settings > Display > Font Size to increase the size of the font to make it readable.
⌘ Plus on the Mac or ⌃ Plus in Windows will "zoom in" to make everything larger, and ⌘ 0 (zero) on the Mac or ⌃ 0 on Windows will restore everything to its default size.
Note that, technically, what we're calling Plus here is really Equals (=). We think it's easier to remember as minus for smaller and plus for bigger.
